Security & Compliance platform offers a comprehensive suite of cybersecurity and compliance services—blending CPA-authoritative audit certifications with strategic advisory-led cybersecurity programs. Their emphasis on integration, relationship-driven delivery, and multi-framework expertise makes them a strong partner for organizations seeking to elevate security posture, streamline compliance, and build trust with clients and regulators.

Let's get on the same page
RevStar's unique approach was highly personalized, dedicating nearly two entire sprints to in-person meetings with the client. During these sessions, we focused on whiteboarding, gathering insights, and conducting research to fully understand the client’s needs, brand, and any other elements they wanted reflected in their software.
Sprint 3-8
Build upon the foundation
With the inception phase now complete, my team and I have gained a deeper understanding of Security and Compliance Platforms's approach to cybersecurity. It’s time to head into Figma and begin designing a scalable design system that not only reflects the brand’s identity but also enhances user experience.
Sprint 9-11
Fixing the natural errors
Developers implement designs with a one-sprint delay, allowing for timely updates and ensuring that bug fixes are prioritized in the final weeks of the project timeline. This approach ensures adequate time for addressing any issues that arise. My role in this process is to ensure that my developers receive accurate and ready-to-code designs within Figma, facilitating a smooth transition from design to development. All of this was tracked inside of Azure DevOps.

Preventing defects
After designing the design system, creating all the necessary screens, and prototyping in Figma while promptly addressing any bugs, the QA team and the client were prepared to start finalizing everything in the test environment.
Takeaways
Stay flexible
Sometimes, timelines shift, and while it's not always something we take pride in, it's simply part of the software development lifecycle. I wouldn’t be honest if I said that 9 months was the initial projected timeline. A significant part of the journey involves learning to adapt to clients who frequently change their minds. Throughout this project, I collaborated with three different project managers, as they were swapped out due to internal processes at RevStar. My biggest takeaway was the importance of keeping my Figma files as organized as possible to facilitate a smooth transition, not just for the developers but also for my fellow project managers.
